Fiber-optic outside plant construction

Built with integrity. Connected for the future.

TEI Fiber & Infrastructure builds the underground and pathway work behind new fiber networks, from the first bore to the final splice test and site restoration.

Scope of work

One crew from ground to glass

We estimate, manage and self-perform each phase of a fiber build, so the people who dig the path are accountable for the cable that tests out at the end.

Phase 1

Underground

  • Trenching
  • Cable plowing
  • Horizontal directional boring

Phase 2

Pathway

  • Conduit and innerduct installation
  • Handholes, vaults and pedestals
  • Structure setting and grading

Phase 3

Cable

  • Fiber cable placement
  • Fusion splicing
  • OTDR and power-meter testing
  • Test reports and as-builts

Phase 4

Closeout

  • Surface restoration
  • Network maintenance

How we work

Safe crews. Clean handoffs.

Stop-work authority

Every person on a TEI job can stop work for an unsafe condition. Safety requirements are never waived to make a sale or a schedule.

Self-performed

Our own crews, equipment and drilling capacity cover each phase, so you deal with one contractor from bore to splice.

Documented closeout

Every job closes with test results, as-built records and a restored site, ready for your network team to take over.
